Manufacturing Process Engineer – CNC Machining
Salary: c£45000
Location : Sheffield
This is an exciting role supporting the industrialisation, scale-up and continuous improvement of their specialist manufacturing processes, specifically CNC machining, finishing and assembly / test. 
As a Subject Matter Expert you be responsible for process engineering, industrialisation, equipment introduction and continuous improvement, helping to create stable, repeatable and efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
o Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing standards, including SOPs, process parameters, routings and engineering documentation.
o Support the introduction of new manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
o Provide hands-on engineering support to production, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and improving process performance.
o Lead and support root cause analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving activities.
o Identify and implement process improvements to increase yield, throughput, quality and process stability.
o Support activities such as Kaizen, 5S and workplace/workflow optimisation where appropriate.
o Contribute to manufacturing CapEx and capital equipment projects.
o Support factory layout, material flow and production workflow improvements.
About You:
Applications are sought from experienced engineer with a background in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, production engineering or industrial engineering within a technically demanding production environment.
o Manufacturing or process engineering within a CNC machining production environment essential.
o Knowledge of material finishing, heat treatment, material testing processes highly desirable.
o Process optimisation and continuous improvement.
o Root cause analysis and structured problem solving.
o Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement / Kaizen.
o PFMEA and engineering change management.
o Manufacturing documentation, SOPs and process standards.
o Degree/ HNC/ HND or equivalent engineering qualification – Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Metallurgy
